On April 4th 2004 coalition forces & Blackwater contractors were surrounded by 1000 insurgents. Ambassador Paul Bremer authorized Blackwater to get people out by any mean necessary, this battle lasted almost three weeks. The battle of Najaf stays relevant today in many ways but we decided to embrace that battle by building out one of the Bushmaster XM15-E2S 14.5" Carbines that many of the Blackwater contractors used on that day.
