Simply the most sought-after Factory SR-15 that Knights Armament has ever made available to the civilian market. This SR-15 is the predecessor to the legacy mod0 model and was produced in such limited quantities, rumor has it that the civilian market had such little interest in these SBR's that Knights Armament almost ceased SBR sales to the commercial market. (not sure if that’s true or not but a little lore never hurt anyone)
This would be the pinnacle of any serious Knights Armament collectors collection as far as SR-15’s go, not only does it have laser etched Titusville markings on the non-ejection port side, but machine engraved Vero Beach markings on the ejection port side and a KA prefix serial number. A few other unique qualities are the infamous spring assisted folding front sight gas block and dovetail integrated rear sight. The "SR-15 E3" markings on the upper receiver are machine engraved compared to newer laser etched markings.
